Ledwood Technology's offerings within the CCTV and electro-optic sector are broad and flexible. We can encompass a range of technologies from traditional static optical cameras to full PTZ long range Infrared & thermal. The primary method of capturing video is by using network video encoders from Axis; used for capturing traditional analogue cameras. For digital systems there are a range of options from integrating directly with the cameras or via a video matrix. 

Many ports already have a comprehensive CCTV solution that forms part of both your security, and marine operations. In these circumstances, often the preferred approach to integrating the video information is by connecting a video encoder to passive slave outputs of their video matrix controller. This enables a selection of cameras to be recorded directly into the IRIS system. 

Often IRIS is deployed with one or more cameras of its own in addition to the ports existing cameras. While these can be integrated into your existing CCTV system, often they are left as standalone cameras, controlled entirely through the IRIS system via means of an on screen control panel. Controls can be via networked TCP either directly, or using a TCP-Serial adaptor. When using an adaptor any common serial type can be used including RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485. 

Although we work closely with a UK surveillance camera company, IRIS can handle multiple cameras of different types and control interfaces. We can also give recommendations on manufacturers, models, types and installation location.  When control is handed to the IRIS system it allows for options such as Auto Camera Pan where the camera can be directed by the location of a vessel or point of interest, allowing operators to quickly assert what it is they are looking at.
